Marti Lee Freymark

March 25, 1959 — April 29, 2009

Marti Lee Freymark, 50, Jamestown, North Dakota died Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at his home after a courgeous battle with lung cancer.

Marti was born March 25, 1959 in Jamestown, the son of Howard and Diann (Elhard) Freymark. He lived in Jud and attended school there through 5th grade. The family moved to Jamestown where Marti graduated from Jamestown High School in 1977. Marti moved to Oakes, ND, where he married Susan Tompt in 1977 and worked at the Oakes Standard Station. They returned to Jamestown and Marti worked at Hedahl's Auto in sales. He managed the Jamestown Truck Plaza for a short time. In 1993 they moved to Williston where he was sales manager for Mann's Automotive Supply. He was later transferred to Bismarck with Mann's and continued as sales manager. In 2004 Marti became a sales representative for Liechty's, returning to Jamestown in 2008.

Marti enjoyed playing softball, hunting, golfing and doing his yard work.

Marti is survived by his wife, Susan, Jamestown; daughter, Stephanie (Brian) Plecity, Valley City, ND; son, LCpl Christopher Freymark, currently serving with the Marine Corp in Afghanistan; three granddaughters, Alyssa, Katlyn and Rachel Plecity, all of Valley City; mother, Diann (Gordie) Loper, Jamestown; father-in-law, Clinton Tompt, Jamestown; sisters-in-law, Deb (John) Ehrlin, Oakes, ND, Brenda (Bob) Tompt and Nancy (Doug) Sorensen, both of Valley City; brothers-in-law, Dan (Shelley) Tompt, San Francisco, CA, John (Dixie) Tompt, Valley City; and best friends, Mark and Julie Gemar, Fargo, ND.

He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Lisa Freymark; and mother-in-law, Marlene Tompt.

Memorial Service: Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Rich Fitzer officiating.

Visitation: 1:00PM - 5:00PM, Monday, May 4, 2009 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Mt. Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, North Dakota.
