Marvin Krause

Marvin Krause, 79, Jamestown, died Friday, May 9, 2003 from an automobile accident near Austin, Nevada.

Marvin Krause was born at Lehr, North Dakota on November 19, 1923 the son of Oscar and Lydia (Koepplin) Krause. He attended local schools. Marvin was baptized May 1, 1927 at the family home. In 1941, Marvin went to St. Paul to work in a defense plant. He entered the U.S. Army in 1943, serving until 1946 in the European Theatre. Marvin worked a while for Lehr Electric Shop. In 1948, he moved to Jamestown and worked for the City of Jamestown Water Department. Marvin married Florence Essig on April 16, 1950 at Lehr. In 1962, he worked for Central Dakota Lumber & Supply until retiring in 1975 due to injuries. He was confirmed March 1, 1964 at Concordia Lutheran Church. Marvin was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church where he was active in AAL.

He is survived by nieces and nephews.

Marvin was preceded in death by his wife; parents; two sisters, Florence Metzger and Martha Whittmyer; and one brother, Ervin.

Funeral Service: 11:00AM, Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Robert Leiste officiating.

Visitation: One hour before funeral service on Wednesday at Concordia Lutheran Church.

Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.
