Marvin Dale Myers

Marvin D. Myers, 68, Medina, North Dakota died Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home in Jamestown, ND after a 15 month battle with cancer.

Marvin Dale Myers was born August 9, 1937 in Stanton, North Dakota the son of Howard and Ada (Hecht) Myers. He attended school in Stanton and Mandan. He joined the US Army and served his county during the Korean conflict.

Marvin married Elsie Radmer in 1958, and their children are Robin, Sue, Marlin, Myron & Keith. He worked as an auto mechanic in Minneapolis, MN, Mandan, Wing and Medina, ND. He also owned and operated the bar in Tuttle, ND in 1996 and 1997.

Marvin was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Medina, the V.F.W. in Mandan, the Bismarck Eagles and the American Legion.

Marvin loved dancing and music, especially playing his accordian. He also enjoyed gardening where cucumbers and pickles were his specialty, playing cards, and visiting with his friends.

Marvin is survived by two daughters, Robin (Jerry) Henrichs, Coon Rapids, MN and Sue (Peter) Brkovich, Chaska, MN; three sons, Marlin (Audrey) Meyers, Mandan, Myron (Tammy) Meyers, Ramsey, MN and Keith (Stacy) Meyers, Coon Rapids, MN; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Mel (Betty) Myers, Sebeka, MN; three nephews, Jerry Myers, Virgil Myers and Wade Myers; a very special friend, Violet Moser of Medina, ND and numerous extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Helen (Borner), Violet Mae and Alice May; and three brothers, Norman, Earl and Kenny.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Monday, March 20, 2006 at the Zion United Church of Christ in Medina with Pastor Karl Limvere officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, March 19, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Sunday, March 19, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.

Burial: Medina Cemetery, Medina, North Dakota.
