Mary L. Klassy, 82, of Dickinson, North Dakota, formerly of Cleveland, ND, died Saturday, January 1, 2005 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Dickinson, ND.
Mary L. Sinclair was born January 13, 1922 in Stutsman County, North Dakota the daughter of David L. and Vivian G. (Cotton) Sinclair. She was raised and educated in Stutsman County. Mary married Howard W. Klassy on July 3, 1940 in Jamestown, ND. They farmed and raised three children southwest of Cleveland. Howard died April 20, 1968. Mary cared for foster adults for 25 years in her farm home. She loved to bake (always good smells from her kitchen) and she was always available to do farm work. Her grandchildren were the apples of her eye and she loved spending time with them.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Mary (Garold) Guenther of Dickinson, ND; son, Howard M. Klassy of Cleveland, ND; six grandchildren; Cindy (Terry) Stickel, Sheri (Larry) Yohn, twelve great grandchildren; brother, Charles (Joyce) Sinclair of Cleveland, ND; sister-in-law, Muriel Sinclair of Bend, OR.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one daughter, Karen Sam; three brothers, Johnny, Howard, and David Sinclair and one great-grandson.
Funeral Service: 10:30AM, Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Cleveland Cemetery, Cleveland, North Dakota.
