Mary Eva Schlosser, 91, Jamestown died Monday, August 19, 2002 at the Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown, N.D.
Mary Eva Lesmeister was born February 22, 1911, in Selz, N.D., the daughter of Nickelous and Margaretha (Erker) Lesmeister. She attended grade school at Selz, N.D. and high school at Harvey, N.D.
She married Clifford Stanley Heer, on June 21, 1931. Mr. Heer died December 27, 1954. She then moved to Harvey and was employed at J.C. Penney's for 13 years.
On April 28, 1962, she married Reynold (Reynie) M. Schlosser at St. Cecelia's Catholic Church at Harvey, N.D. Mr. Schlosser passed away February 13, 1984.
Mary Eva a member of the Royal Neighbors-St. James Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 3080 of Harvey, a past president of that Auxiliary. She also served as State President of the Eagles Auxiliary in 1967-1968, and as an officer of the Grand Auxiliary of the Eagles for two years, 1969-1970. Also, Mary Eva was a member of the Benevolent Patriotic Order of Does #82 serving as District President of the Does in 1984-1985, and a member of the Basilica of St. James Church and Joan of Arc Church Circle, Jamestown.
She enjoyed playing bridge and serving in fraternal organizations, being active until recently.
Mary is survived by two daughters, Al-Rita (George L.) Meyer of Lompoc, CA; Valerie Barrett, of Jamestown, N.D.; one stepdaughter, Sister Pat Schlosser, of Chicago, ILL; one stepson, Jim Schlosser, of Bismarck, N.D.; five grandchildren, Mary Elaine, of Hayfork, CA; Jeri Beth, of Lompac, CA; Dani Yvonne, of Lompac, CA; Charles, of Los Angles, CA; Tanya, of Corona Del Mar, CA; and four step grandchildren, Leslie, of Mesa, AZ; Lynne, of Kansas City, MO; Laurie, of Minneapolis, MN; and Mark, of Los Angles, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and six sisters.
Funeral Mass: 9:00 A.M. - Saturday, August 24, 2002 at Basilica of St. James, Jamestown, N.D., with Father Steven Reiske officiating.
Vigil: 7:00 P.M. - Friday, August 23, 2002 Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, N.D., with Rosary to follow.
Burial: 1:30P.M. - Sunday, August 25, 2002 St. Anthony's Cemetery - Selz, North Dakota.
