Mary Margaret Tracy

Mary Margaret Tracy, 70, Jamestown, North Dakota died Thursday, February 5, 2004 at Jamestown Hospital. Mary Margaret was born on July 20, 1933 in Jamestown the only daughter of Frank and Elvira (Ranallo) Petrecca. Mary attended and graduated from St. John's Academy in 1951. She worked briefly for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company as an operator before marrying Thomas Jerome Tracy, Sr. on April 14, 1953 at the Basilica of St. James in Jamestown. They moved to Gackle, ND where they raised their six children. In 1981 they moved back to Jamestown after Jim retired from the phone company. For the last 20 years Mary worked for Alpha Opportunities where she assisted with developmentally disabled individuals. Thomas ""Jim"" Tracy, Sr. died on March 8, 2002.

Mary's life was devoted to her children and especially her grandchildren, who were the pride of her life.

Mary is survived by her six children, Thomas J. (Fay) Tracy, Jr., Kensal, ND; Susan Marie (Steve) Kiemele, Fargo, ND; Tim (Cindy) Tracy, Kalispell, MT; Angela (Austen) Schauer, West Fargo, ND; John Tracy, Grand Forks, ND and Rosemary (Kurt) Tompkinss, Devils Lake, ND, 13 grandchildren, Dan (Erin) Tracy; Steph Tracy; Tyler Tracy; Zach Tracy; Leah Kiemele; Emma Kiemele; Hillary Tracy;, Spencer Tracy; Ann (Rodney) Johnson, Aaron (fiancee Julie Stroh) Schauer, Allison Schauer, Bethany Tompkins and David Tompkins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Memorial Service: 10:30 AM, Monday, February 9, 2004 at First Assembly of God Church, Jamestown with Rev. Darrell Losing officiating.
