Matthew Steenhout

Matthew Steenhout, 18, of Jamestown, ND, died peacefully in his sleep early Saturday morning, February 17, 2007, at Anne Carlsen Center for Children, Jamestown.

Matthew Steenhout was born August 31, 1988, in Portland, OR, the son of Steven and Rebecca (Farring) Steenhout. The family moved to Loudoun County, Virginia, when he was 9 months old. Matthew moved to the Anne Carlsen Center for Children in September 1998. He loved music and was known for his hugs, through which he showed and received a multitude of unconditional love.

Matthew is survived by his mother, Rebecca Wallace, Moorhead, MN; father, Steven Steenhout, Anchorage, AK; two sisters, Emily Steenhout and Isabelle Wallace, Moorhead, MN; one brother, Timothy Steenhout, Moorhead, MN; maternal grandparents, Bob and Ruth Farring, Fargo, ND; and paternal grandparents, Willard and Shirley Steenhout, Idabel, OK.

Funeral Service: 10:30AM, Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at Calvary United Methodist Church, Fargo, ND with Pastor Dave Motta officiating.

Visitation: One hour before the service at the church.

Burial: 3:00PM, Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at the Hunter Cemetery, Hunter, ND.
