Maurice Mayer

Maurice A. Mayer, 83, Lisbon, ND died Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in the North Dakota Veterans Home. Maurice was born April 16, 1932 the son of Albert and Christina (Hanson) Mayer. He received his education in rural Jamestown schools until the 8th grade. He worked on the family farm until 1960 and then began employment with the Union Pacific Railroad. He entered the US Army September 8, 1950 where he served in Germany, he was honorably discharged September 6, 1953. He moved to California where he worked for US Electric Motors. In 1969, he returned to North Dakota to work on the family farm.
Maurice is survived by one son, Micheal Guy Mayer, of Marshalltown, IA., One sister, Betty Alonge. He was preceded in death by his parents, three children, three sisters, two brothers.
