Maurinda Rosemore

Maurinda Rosemore, 96, Jamestown, ND died Sunday, January 31, 2021 at JRMC.

Maurinda was born October 4, 1924 at Trinity Hospital, Jamestown, ND the daughter of Ole and Selma Olson.  In her early years she taught grades 1-8 in the Windsor, ND area.

On June 7, 1947 Ronald “Chet” Rosemore and Maurinda were married at her parent’s farm in Deer Lake Township.  Together they took over the Rosemore family farm in Windsor Township.

Maurinda was a member of the school board and served as the township assessor.  Trinity Lutheran was her church home, where she taught bible school and made cookies for volunteers at the annual Lutefisk dinners.  She loved to entertain and “feed” people.

In 1987 Chet and Maurinda moved to Jamestown, ND.  They enjoyed being part of a birthday club and card club.

Maurinda is survived by daughter Carol, Jamestown; two granddaughters Shannon (David) Bratton, Jamestown and Megen McDonald, Jamestown; six great grandchildren Sophie, Amelia, Thayer, Evelyn, Chet and Romi; one brother Darold Olson, Jamestown.  She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Agnes Olson and Deloris Boyle.

A private graveside service will be held with Reverend Kristina Weber officiating at Highland Home Cemetery in Jamestown, ND.
