Max Mutschler

Max Jordan Mutschler, 33, Jamestown, ND died on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 in Velva, ND.

Max was born on November 13, 1988 in Jamestown, ND to Rick and Teri Mutschler.  He grew up on the family farm north of Jamestown and attended school in Wimbledon, ND and later Jamestown Public Schools.

Max’s grandpa “Freddy” got him to ride in the tractor at a very young age.  Before you know it, we heard, “Freddy” on the 2-way radio telling his combine crew that “Max was a better combiner than any of them and he’s only 9”.

Max loved the farm.  He loved riding four wheelers, having friends over, enjoyed summers boating, motocross and snow cross racing, and snowboarding as well.  He was a natural at many things.  He played soccer while attending Jamestown Public Schools.  He also loved hunting and fishing.

After high school he continued farming.  Max and Kaley Steifel became the proud parents of Jamison Mutschler, born on July 21, 2007.  On June 11th, 2011 Max married Marissa Austin of Minot, ND.  They had two children together Sophia and Trenton Mutschler and a stepson, Bransyn Herrington.  They made their home in Minot.  Max had a trucking company in the oil field and worked out there commuting from Minot.

He was currently living in Jamestown and working at RTS as a truck driver.  He loved his job and his bosses.  Took great pride in how his truck looked.  Always seemed so happy to be around all the family especially the nieces and nephews.

Max is survived by his three children Jamison Mutschler, Valley City, ND, Trenton and Sophia Mutschler, Minot, ND; five brothers Ross  and Randi Mutschler, Wimbledon, ND, Brock and Kelly Mutschler, Wimbledon, ND, Jett Mutschler, Jamestown, ND, Jaxon Schriock, Jamestown, ND, Luka Mutschler, Eldridge, ND; two sisters Melissa Mutschler, Bismarck, ND, Olivia Schriock, Jamestown, ND; one step brother Brady Erickson, Eldridge, ND; his parents Teri Schmeichel, Jamestown, ND and Rick and Tina Mutschler, Eldridge, ND; also survived by many nieces and nephews Roman Mutschler, Bismarck, ND, Miles and Ella and Riggs Mutschler, Wimbledon, ND, Bennett and Ivy Mutschler, Wimbledon, ND, and many beloved uncles, aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Freddy and Marlys Mutschler, Wimbledon, ND, Milton and Mavis Schmeichel, Jamestown, ND, Marla Wubben, Yankton, SD, one infant Schmeichel and one infant Mutschler.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND with a prayer service following at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.  Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 13 at Hidden River Acres (old Beulah campground, 901 4th Avenue NW), Jamestown, ND with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating.  Interment will be in Prairie View Cemetery, Wimbledon, ND.
