Maxine Hendrickx, 83, Jamestown, ND died Friday, April 20, 2007 at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND. Maxine Becker was born November 14, 1923 north of Sheldon, ND in Highland Township, Cass County, North Dakota, the youngest of eight children of Max Becker and Minnie Schmidt. Maxine graduated from Detroit Lakes High School, Detroit Lakes, MN in 1942. It was while in high school Maxine met her future husband, Harvey Rasmussen. They were married December 4, 1942 in San Francisco, CA. Harvey enlisted in the army and served in the Pacific Theater in WWII. Maxine served the war effort as a machinist, making cremation urns for fallen servicemen and women. Following the war, Maxine and Harvey moved back to North Dakota and lived in Sheldon, Oakes, and Fargo. Harvey died in Fargo in 1974. Maxine was employed by the Fargo Implement Company (John Deere) for 25 years. On December 20, 1975, Maxine married William Hendrickx and moved to Gardner, ND. They later moved to Jamestown in October of 1994. William died on May 27, 1996. Maxine enjoyed gardening, fishing, deer hunting, and bingo. She loved her dogs and her grandchildren, especially the babies. She was a member of the Jamestown Hospital Auxiliary and a parishioner at Basilica of St. James of Jamestown. Maxine is survived by two daughters; Mary Jo (Charlie) Swiercz, Concrete, WA, Diana (Tom) Stene, Indianapolis, IN; two sons, Wynn (Donette) Rasmussen, Jamestown, ND and Wade (Michelle) Rasumssen, Wausau, WI; one sister, Minnie Coolidge, Downers Grove, IL; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one brother and five sisters.

Funeral Mass: 10:00 AM, Tuesday April 24, 2007 at Basilica of St. James, Jamestown with Father Al Bitz, officiating.

Visitation: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday April 23 at Eddy Funeral Home

Vigil Service: 7:00 PM, Monday April 23 at Eddy Funeral Home

Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown.
