Maybelle Leopoldt

Maybelle Louise Leopoldt, 96, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Eventide, Fargo, ND on Tuesday, May 4, 2021.

Maybelle, daughter of Andrew and Emma (Larson) Christensen, was born on October 12, 1924, Mulvihill, Manitoba. She grew up in the Dwight, ND area. While working in Wahpeton, ND she met Randolph (Randy) Leopoldt and they were married on September 1, 1944 in Woodworth, ND. They made their life in Carrington, ND and Jamestown, ND. In May, 2018, she moved to Good Samaritan in Fargo, ND.  She was blessed to live independently with a sharp mind, a witty sense of humor and a love for reading.

Maybelle is survived by Ronald (Pam) Leopoldt, Kennewick, WA; Wanda (Ray) Haugen, Valley City, ND; Robert (Sandi) Leopoldt, Brooklyn Park, MN; 12 grandchildren, Nikki Wood, Melissa (Kevin) Johnson, Amanda (Justin) Folk; Rhonda (Lee) Dahl, Rick (Tisha) Zink; Renita Quam; Randall (Amanda) Zink; Jason (Rochelle) Haugen; Terry (Patty) Haugen; Darby McGruder; Michelle Leopoldt and April (Joe) Kucera and 26 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Randy of 41 years, parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Memorials are preferred to Concordia Lutheran Church in Jamestown, ND.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 7, 2021 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Tom Eckstein officiating.

Visitation: One hour before the funeral at the church.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
