Mazie A. Roeszler, 94, Jamestown, ND, passed away August 11, 2012 at Eventide Hi-Acres of Jamestown.
Mazie Nelson was born July 11, 1918 at Jamestown, daughter of Adolph William and Elsie (Clemens) Nelson. Mazie graduated from Jamestown High in 1936 and then attended Jamestown College and the University of North Dakota obtaining a Commerce degree. On December 6, 1941 she was united in marriage to Ade Roeszler at Fargo, ND and soon moved to a cattle ranch north of Jamestown.
Mazie was involved in the community serving on the rural and city school boards for 32 years, the Senior Citizen Board, Meals on Wheels Program, and other organizations. Mazie also was involved in the United Presbyterian Church of Jamestown where she completed the Stephen Ministry Program. She enjoyed playing various card games and was a member of several bridge clubs until a few years ago. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed knitting. In 2006 at age 88, Mazie entered Hi-Acres Manor due to her health.
Mazie is survived by her three sons, William (Alpha), Fargo, ND, Cordell, Nisland, SD, Roger (Tracy), Muskego, WI; three grandchildren; four step grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren.
Mazie was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother Frank.
