Mckinley "Mac" Roman Nielsen

McKinley “Mac” Roman Nielsen passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018 at JRMC, Jamestown, ND surrounded by his loving family.

Mac was born on July 29, 1944 to Edwin and Evelyn (Johnson) Nielsen. He attended school in Jamestown and graduated from JHS, class of 1962. Mac attended Wahpeton State School of Science and Devils Lake Region Junior College.

Mac was retired from the Jamestown School System and also worked many years for Newman Signs. He also worked part time for other area businesses and particularly enjoyed his time at Jack Brown Stadium.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles (past president), American Legion Drum and Bugle Corps, and North Dakota Thoroughbred Association as he had a great interest in horses. He also loved watching Bison Football.

Mac is survived by twin sisters; Janis “Joanie” (Doug) Mork of Bismarck, ND and Janet “Jeanie” (Daryl) Neumiller of Jamestown, half-sisters; Connie AveLallemont of Oakdale, MN and Charlene Rae of Sioux City, IA. Mac was very proud of his nephews; Erik (Rebecca) Mork of Mukilteo, WA and Michael (Michelle) Neumiller of Jamestown, and his nieces; Jennie Mork of Minneapolis, MN, Angela (Jay) Dugan of Devils Lake, ND, Jeana (Jon) Youness of West Fargo, Julie (Patrick) Tobkin of Perham, MN, and five grand nephews, seven grand nieces, and numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Evelyn Nielsen.

Mac will be dearly missed by his sisters and others who knew and loved him.

Mac’s family requests that memorials be made to any organization of your choice.

Memorial Service : 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 13, 2018 at Eddy Funeral Home.
