Michael Koehnen

Michael Koehnen, 53, Jamestown, North Dakota died Friday, September 23, 2005 at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, North Dakota.

Michael Koehnen was born March 13, 1952 in Jamestown to Aloyis and Jeanette (Balken) Koehnen. He grew up in Jamestown and attended St. John's Academy and Jamestown High School. He married Sharon Lien of Jamestown on June 21, 1973. A Vietnam Veteran; Michael served in the United States Marine Corps from 1970 to 1974. He later attended Jamestown College. Michael then joined the Jamestown Fire Department for 18 years to become the City Fire Inspector. Michael was working for the United States Postal Service at the time of his death. Michael was a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Michael made many good friends through his mastery of computers, technology and the Internet.

Michael is survived by his wife, Sharon, Jamestown; father Aloyis (Mary) Koehnen, Peoria, AZ; three sisters, Vicki (Richard) Novak, Durango, CO; Nancy (Greg) Mosley, Pembroke, GA and Andrea (Bill) Carper, Pueblo, CO; one brother, Richard (Susan), Chula Vista, CA.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Koehnen.

Celebration of Life: Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND.

Visitation: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota
