Miles Dirk Nannenga, 77, Jamestown, North Dakota died Thursday, October 6, 2005 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.

Miles was born August 19, 1928 in Jamestown, the son of Helmer and Louisa (Jeske) Nannenga. He grew up in the Jamestown area and attended Jamestown schools. Miles entered the US Army on January 16, 1951 in Jamestown and served during the Korean War. Upon his discharge in August 1952 he returned to Jamestown and began to farm. Miles married Donna Coombs on June 22, 1963 in Fargo. They made their home northeast of Jamestown on the family farm. Miles loved the land and he farmed all his life.

He was a member of the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Jamestown where he served on various boards. His hobbies included hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Miles is survived by his wife, Donna, son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Michelle (O'Meara) Nannenga, daughter Amy Nannenga, two grandchildren, Johnathan and Jennifer Nannenga, all of Jamestown and one sister, Christine Wagner of Bismarck, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Jacob, August and Myron and five sisters, Sophie, Altja, Louise, Helen and Marie.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Jamestown with Rev. Gary Ball-Kilbourne officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, October 10, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Monday, October 10, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetey, Jamestown, North Dakota
