Milo Grant Sandness, 66, of Marion, N D passed into eternity with Jesus on June 13, 2021 at Rock of Ages Home in Jamestown, N D. Born February 14, 1955, Milo was the 5th beloved child and 4th son of Alvin Johannes Sandness and Inga Gjerding Sandness of rural Marion, in Barnes County. In life Milo was always very active and inquisitive, with the highest IQ on record at Marion H. S. except for his older brother Mitchell's IQ. Doing extremely well at Waukegan High School in Illinois, Milo fractured his neck in Gymnastics and was hospitalized there, then returned to his parents' home now in Valley City, N D. Milo always loved his work at car detailing and loved reading, playing Chess & other brain games, loved fast-walking and exercising. He continued his exercising throughout his life until very recently. Milo was always a kind, considerate and gentle person, loved by all who knew him, and favored because of his immaculate cleaning ability! Milo had spent his last 2 week vacation visiting the San Francisco Bay Area with Beverly's family, also visiting La Jolla, CA in San Diego, where he'd gone with them in '69 and jumped over a fence on a cliff over the ocean and his foot was injured so badly he had to go to Disneyland in a wheelchair! From his vantage point he commented, "This Disneyland is not all it's cracked up to be!"
Survivors include his sister Beverly Ann Krieger & brother-in law Chaplain Robert Krieger serving at California Veterans Home near Napa, both of whom live in Fremont California; his nephew Paul Sandness of Nagodoches, Texas; niece Shara Blankenship in Cummings, Texas; 2 nieces, Laurie Laducer of Fingal, ND and Heidi Jo Plesuk of Fargo, ND; 2 nephews, Steven Sandness of Fargo and Michael Sandness of Glenwood, Minnesota; 2 nieces in California, Pamela Michelle Krieger of Newark and Natalie Joy Krieger of Lathrop, CA; 2 aunts, Janice Sandness Robinson, Nagodoches, TX and Sharon Hardtke Sandness of Fingal, ND.
