Milton A. Hust, 69, Tappen, North Dakota, died Sunday, July 13, 2003 after a short courageous battle with cancer at MedCenter One in Bismarck, North Dakota. Milton was born November 4, 1933 in Napoleon, ND the son of Adam and Marie (Schmerier) Hust. The family moved to Tappen where he attended country school and lived most of his life. He entered the U.S. Air Force on June 20, 1952 in Fargo, ND. He was discharged on June 30, 1954 in Yuma, AZ. He married Leona A. Hust on February 26, 1955 in Tappen where they made their home.
Milton worked for Minot Paving, Minot, ND and following his retirement he worked for the City of Tappen until his death.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandson. He also enjoyed working in his garden and for the City of Tappen. He was loved by all his friends and family and will be greatly missed.
Milton is survived by his wife, Leona, one son, Arlinn of Tappen; one daughter, Sherry (Kurt) Bodvig, Tappen; four special grandchildren, Paula (Jay) Roehrich, Tappen, Kristal (Cody) Dachtler, Bismarck, Kayla and Korey Bodvig, Tappen and a very special great-grandson, Joey; 2 brothers, Clarence (Marilyn) Hust, Bismarck, Thilmer Hust and special friend, Garnetta, Minot; one sister Janis (Delaine) Slaughter, Bismarck and two special friends, Dan and Marv.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Lisa, one brother, Harry and one sister, Esther.
Funeral Service: 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at Zion United Methodist Church, Tappen, ND with Pastor Stanton J. Bockwoldt officiating.
Prayer Service: 7:30 PM, Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Visitation: 5:00 to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Home.
Burial: Fisher Cemetery, Tappen, North Dakota.
