Minnie Albin, 88, of Jamestown, N.D. died Sunday, September 8, 2002 at Central Dakota Village Nursing Home in Jamestown, N.D.
Minnie Vondergeest was born July 15, 1914 in Bloom Township in Stutsman County, the daughter of John and Alwine (Behrens) Vondergeest. She received her education in Bloom Township.
Minnie married Gilmore Albin on September 6, 1936 in Bloom Township, near Jamestown, N.D. They made their home on a farm near Spiritwood, N.D. Gilmore died on August 16, 1978.
Minnie was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown and the Spiritwood Homemakers Club for many years. She enjoyed reading, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Minnie is survived by three children, Merna Roberts of Knoxville, TN; Gerald G. (Dianne) Albin, of Littleton, CO; Wayne (Sally) Albin, of Jamestown, N.D.; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers (Herbert & Hans), and one sister (Magda).
Funeral Service: 10:00 A.M. - Wednesday, September 11, 2002 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Doug Opp officiating.
Visitation: Tuesday, September 10, 2002 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, N.D.
Burial: Spiritwood Cemetery - Spiritwood, N.D.
