Minnie Eissinger

Minnie Eissinger, 99, of Jamestown, ND died Friday, April 11, 2003 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home in Jamestown.

Wilhelmina (Minnie) Ebel was born November 23, 1903 in the Medina, ND area the daughter of Ludwig and Christina (Pfaff) Ebel. She was raised on the family farm and educated in a country school near Medina. Minnie was confirmed by Pastor Franke in June of 1920 at Jamestown. She married Benjamin R. Eissinger on December 2, 1922 in Jamestown. They made their home on a farm near Medina until 1950, when they moved to Jamestown. Benjamin died on June 14, 1963. Minnie worked at the Trinity Hospital in Jamestown until it closed in 1968, then she worked at the Jamestown Hospital. She moved to the Gardenette in Jamestown on October 5, 1972.

Minnie is survived by one daughter, Donna Mae (Arlo) Schafer of Burnsville, MN; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one son, Donald Leo; one daughter, Gladys Beatrice; three brothers, John, Sam, and Fred; and two sisters, Lydia Wiest and Sally McCrea.

Funeral Service: 2:00PM, Monday, April 14, 2003 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel with Rev. Donald Crippen and Rev. Norman Winkelman officiating.

Visitation: Sunday, April 13, 2003 from 1:00PM to 9:00PM at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
