Amalia "Molly" Mathern, 82, Edgeley,
ND, died Sunday, January 4, 2009 at Manor St.
Joseph, Edgeley, ND.
Amalia Krumm was born February 16, 1926 at Hague, ND,
the daughter of John and Sophia (Winnenbach) Krumm. She was raised on the family farm north of Hague, ND
and attended the rural school. On
November 25, 1947, she married Joseph Mathern at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hague, ND and they
settled on a farm north of Edgeley,
ND. They farmed and raised cattle for 29
years. Molly also worked at the Manor
St. Joseph in Edgeley, cleaned at Transfiguration Catholic Church and served on
the school lunch program for many years.
In 1976, they built a new house in Edgeley where they retired.
Molly was a devoted member of Transfiguration Catholic
Church in Edgeley for 61 years. She was
a busy wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.
She sewed many blankets and dresses and did a great deal of baking,
always having something in the freezer.
She enjoyed having visitors and playing cards with friends and
relatives. She enjoyed helping Father
Cote make rosaries and doing little odd jobs.
She always opened her home to any church guests or anyone who needed a
place to sleep.

(Pam) Mathern, Fargo, ND; Susan (Jeff) Nuelle, Mandan, ND; 30 grandchildren:

Krumm and Katie (Tony) Wilhelm.
