Myrna Bultema, 77, Wimbledon, North Dakota, died Friday, March 9, 2007 at Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City, North Dakota.

Myrna Luverne Legler was born September 8, 1929 on the family farm in Bloom township, Stutsman County, North Dakota, the daughter of Wilbert and Kate (Mulinex) Legler. She attended Bloom School #2, graduated from Jamestown High School in 1947 and Jamestown College in 1951. Myrna taught H.S. Science in LaMoure, ND from 1951-52. On June 15, 1952 Myrna married Richard W. Bultema in Jamestown. They moved to the Bultema family farm where they lived until Richard's death in 1985. Myrna taught Title I and was the Elementary school prinicpal at Wimbledon Public School from 1967-1972. Myrna moved into Wimbledon in 1986 and her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Beth and Jerry Orn took over the farm.

Myrna was involved in many community activities over the years including Homemakers, 4-H leader, Farmers Union Youth Leader for 25 years, General Federation of Women's Clubs, Wimbledon study club for 30 years, District 4 President in 1982-83 and the Wimbledon Senior Citizens Club. She was on the Hunger and Poverty Mission committee for the UMC of North Dakota for 20 years. She was a volunteer at the Sheyenne Valley Respite Care and helped start and keep going the recycle program in Wimbledon.

Myrna was a member of the Wimbledon Museum Board and the St. John's United Methodist Church in Wimbledon, where she taught Sunday School for many years and served as a lay delegate to annual conferences for 20 years.

Myrna loved the Lord, her family, especially her grandchildren, and the land. She enjoyed going on tours, dancing, spending time with her friends and ...chocolate.

Myrna is survived by her two daughters, Kathy (Jack) Spah, Tuttle, ND and Mary Beth (Jerry) Orn, Wimbledon, ND; nine grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Cindy (Rollin) Wiger, Fargo, ND; two brothers, Victor (Marlys) Legler and Ronald (Lenora) Legler, both of Jamestown and two brother-in-laws, George (Lorraine) Bultema and Jack Rose, both of Valley City, ND and a foster son, Ralph (Gay) Anderson, Wimbledon.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a son, Dean and one sister, Lois Rose.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Monday, March 12, 2007, at St. John's United Methodist Church, Wimbledon, ND with Rev. Jeff Levy officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, March 11, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown, ND and a sharing time with friends at 7:00 PM.
