Myrtle J. Krahler

Myrtle J. Krahler, 91, Jamestown, ND, died Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Eventide at Hi-Acres, Jamestown.

Myrtle Kunze was born July 18, 1921 at Trinity Hospital, Jamestown, the daughter of Carl and Nellie (Schmuehl) Kunze. She received her education in Jamestown, graduating in 1942. She worked at the Moline Café, where she met her husband, Tilman E. Krahler. They moved to Fessenden where she worked at the post office, ASCS, and delivered the Minot Daily newspaper. They moved back to Jamestown in August 1966 and Myrtle worked at various jobs, including the Ramada Inn and Central Dakota Nursing Home.

Myrtle enjoyed going to rummage sales, word find puzzles, rollerskaking and watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Price is Right and Polka Party.

Myrtle is survived by two sons, Darrel (Sandy) Krahler, Fairmont, MN and Robert Krahler, Jamestown; daughter, Kathleen Krahler, Jamestown; grandchildren, Krista (Jesse) Lyons, Jared Krahler, Mathew (Erin) Krahler, Joshua Krahler, Rika Krahler, Timothy (Tonya) Mueller, Tamara (Jeff) DeBuck; great-grandchildren, Colby, Tyler and Cory Lyons, Dylan Krahler, Jayden Krahler, Malik and Maxon Krahler, Dacotah & Cierra Mueller and Kyle, Kiara and Jalyssa DeBuck; and four sisters, Elizabeth Kunze, Grand Rapids, MI, Murial Dassinger, Dickinson, ND, Margett Biddle, Palatine, IL and Marcy (Jim) Kock, Bismarck, ND. She is also survived by very special friends, Gwen Edwards, Rochester, MN and Richard and Betty Hirschkorn, Fessenden, ND.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tilman; parents; great-grandson, Joshua DeBuck and three brothers, Carl Kunze, Sr., Daniel Kunze and David Kunze; and two sisters, Julie Nelson and Dorothy Carter.
