Myrtle Schutt, 80, Jamestown, North Dakota died Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Jamestown Hospital.

Myrtle Benson was born November 25, 1927, west of Buchanan, North Dakota on the family farm to Gilbert and Clara (Skare) Benson. She attended school at Deerlake Township School. Myrtle worked various jobs throughout her life, most important was being a housewife and mom. On March 20, 1961, she married Fred Schutt at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown. Myrtle and Fred lived in Jamestown most of their lives. Fred died March 6, 1976. She enjoyed working in the garden and sewing. Myrtle is survived by two daughters, Brenda Steffen, Fargo and Susan Schutt, Jamestown; one grandson, Benjamin Steffen; two brothers, Burt (Verlyn) Benson and Gilbert (Delphine) Benson, both of Jamestown; two sisters, Pearl Preuss, Mesa, AZ and Freda Telken, Jamestown; two half brothers, Benny Benson, Decorah, IA, Kenneth Benson, Cedar Rapids, IA and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Arnold and Edward, two sisters, Gladys Thelen and Lillian Rowell.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Rich Fitzer, officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
