Nellie Alber, 69, Eldridge, North Dakota died Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at MedCenter One in Bismarck, North Dakota. Nellie Jean Paulson was born May 8, 1934 in Pettibone, ND the daughter of Leo C. and Amy (Morrow) Paulson. She grew up and received her education in Pettibone. She continued her education by attending nurse's training in Bismarck and becoming a registered nurse. Nellie married Kenneth Alber on September 4, 1956 in Pettibone. They moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where she worked as a nurse. Later they moved to Bismarck and Nellie worked as a R.N. at St. Alexius Medical Center. In 1970 they moved to Eldridge where they have made their home since. She was employed at the North Dakota State Hospital for 25 years as a registered nurse.
Nellie was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown. She enjoyed sewing, working in her garden and taking care of her pets.
Nellie is survived by her husband, Kenneth of Eldridge, one daughter and her fiance, Colleen Alber and Wayne Schutt of Jamestown, one son, Arlan Alber, Eldridge, one grandson, Christopher Alber of West Fargo, ND and her step-father, J.P. Munsch of Pettibone.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 15, 2003 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Dennis Ellingsen officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 9:00 PM, Friday, November 14, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Home.
Prayer Service: 8:00 PM, Friday, November 14, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.
