Nellie Elizabeth Councilman

Nellie Elizabeth Councilman, 78, Jamestown, ND died Monday, October 23, 2006 at Central Dakota Village Nursing Home, Jamestown.

Nellie Mason was born January 5, 1928 in Hartford City, Indiana, the daughter of Leon and Hazel (Richardson) Mason. She received her education in Muskegon, Michigan. Nellie married Ira Councilman on May 11, 1946 in Buchanan, Michigan. They moved to Pingree, ND in 1948 where they farmed and ranched, retiring in 1990. In 1994, they moved to Carrington, ND. Ira died on March 14, 2000. Nellie moved to Jamestown in 2001 where her home has been since.

She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Carrington. She enjoyed reading, jig-saw puzzles, and baking.

Nellie is survived by one daughter, Cindy (Kirk) Grimm of Jamestown, ND; one son, Paul (Marleen) Councilman of Pingree, ND; four grandchildren, Nicole (Eric) Kruger, Casey Zink, Travis Councilman, and Mandi Councilman; two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Ashlyn Kruger; two sisters, Hazel Beard of Buchanan, MI and Dixie Klevenger of Jackson, MI; and one brother, Jerry Mason of Tarpin Springs, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers.

Funeral Service: 10:30AM, Thursday, October 26, 2006 at Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown with Pastors Michael Woods and Alfred Deeds, Jr, officiating.

Visitation: 1:00PM-8:00PM, Wednesday, October 25, 2006. Family will receive guests from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Pingree Cemetery, Pingree, ND.
