Neomi A. Zink, 81, Jamestown, North Dakota, formerly of Pingree, ND, died Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at Jamestown Hospital in Jamestown.
Neomi Arlene Dunwoodie was born March 4, 1924 in Pingree, the daughter of Marshall and Ethel (Delger) Dunwoodie. She grew up and attended school in Pingree, graduating from Pingree High School. Neomi taught school for two years at Clemensville, ND. On November 24, 1943 Neomi married C.W. (Wendy) Zink in Jamestown. Neomi was a homemaker and enjoyed staying home to raise their six children. Wendy and Neomi managed the Pingree Standard Service and Café for five years. They wintered in Arizona for several years before Wendy died on September 29, 1992. In 1993 Neomi moved to Jamestown. She became a resident of Hi-Acres Manor Home in April 2004.
Neomi was a member of the Pingree Congregational Ladies Aid and Royal Neighbors of America. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren participate in sports and school activities.
Neomi is survived by three sons: Joel (Sue) Zink, Fargo, ND; Kim Zink, Rockford, MN; Darcy (Joni) Zink, Jamestown; two daughters, Marna (Terry) Schulz and Donelle Zink both of Jamestown; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and one sister, Joyce (Mike) Brophy, Wahpeton, ND.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son, Jan, grandson, Kyle and a brother, Robert.
Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Friday, February 10, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bryce Tahran officiating.
Visitation: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 9, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Thursday, Thursday, February 9, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Pingree Cemetery, Pingree, North Dakota.
