Noel John Ernest Howell

Noel Howell, 95, Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday, April 4, 2004 at Central Dakota Village, Jamestown.

Noel John Howell was born January 11, 1909 in Buckinhams, England the son of Ernest and Mabel (Capps) Howell. Noel arrived in America as an infant in July 1909 with his parents and they settled in the Sydney, North Dakota area. He attended Sydney schools and graduated from Millarton High School. Noel served his country in the U.S. Army from October 22, 1942 until his discharge on June 24, 1943 from Ft. Bliss, TX. He returned to North Dakota and continued living and farming on the homestead until his retirement in 1998.

Noel served on the Sydney Township Board for many years. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Jamestown.

Noel is survived by one brother, Stanley (Mildred) Howell, Prairie du Chien, WI, a niece, Lynda (Keith) Beaty, Prairie du Chien, WI, a grand nephew, Bryan Beaty, Prairie du Chien, WI and a sister-in-law, Orlee Howell of Jamestown, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles and Vernon.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Wedensday, April 7, 2004 at Grace Episcopal Church, Jamestown with The Rev. Bart Davis officiating.

Visitation: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
