Norman Kidd, 77, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Monday morning, June 14, 2021 in Jamestown.
Norman W. Kidd, also known as “Ole Olson” was born January 18, 1944 at Dixon, IL, the son of Virgil and Eunice (Billingsley) Kidd. After high school graduation, he served in the National Guard before moving to Jamestown, ND in 1964. He became known as Ole Olson on KSJB radio, calling thousands of Class B basketball games and other sporting events, and hosting many broadcasts. He was united in marriage to Janice George on July 19, 1968 in Tappen, ND and they made their home in Jamestown. Ole loved spending time and visiting with his family and friends.
Ole is survived by his wife, Janice Kidd; son, Barry (Trish) Kidd; daughter, Becky Miller; five grandchildren, Ryan Miller, Brady Lyter, Parker Kidd, Carson Kidd, and Bristol Kidd; and sister, Carol Kidd.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-brother, Virgil Kidd; and son-in-law, Eric Miller.
Memorial Service- 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Tom Eckstein officiating.
Burial – Fisher Cemetery, Tappen, ND, at a later date.
