Olga Trangsrud, 95, Jamestown,
ND, died Friday, November 20, 2009 at Ave
Maria Village, Jamestown, ND.
Olga Lieberg was born August 10, 1914 in Cooperstown, ND,
the daughter of Martin and Severina (Lawrence) Lieberg. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church
in Cooperstown. She received most of her schooling in
Cooperstown, but moved with her parents to Rolla,
ND for a short time, returning to Cooperstown in 1932.
She then moved with her parents to Jamestown,
ND where she graduated from Jamestown High School
in 1933. In 1935, she married Vernon
Trangsrud and they lived in Grandin, ND and Valley City, ND until 1941 when they moved to Wimbeldon,
ND where Vernon
joined his father and brother at Trangsrud Implement. In 1967, they moved back to Valley City
where Olga worked for 10 years at the Fair Department Store. In 1977, they retired and moved to their home
at Spiritwood Lake, ND.
They enjoyed life there until 1998 when they moved into Jamestown. Vernon died on March 30, 2008
Olga was a member of Concordia Lutheran
Church. She enjoyed cooking and was an excellent
seamstress, making all of her own clothing.
Survivors include a son, Richard (Judy) Trangsrud, Spiritwood Lake, ND; 7
grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and a brother, Millard Lieberg, Anahiem, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son,
Jerauld Trangsrud of Waterloo,
IA; 2 brothers: Harley and
Kenneth and 4 sisters: Eleanor Delzer, Jean Michaud, Lila Head and Doris
Stampka.

a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Concordia
Lutheran Church,
Jamestown, ND
Visitation - 9:00
a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Lisko Funeral Chapel,
Jamestown, ND with the family receiving visitors from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
There will also be visitation 1 hour prior to services at the church on
Wednesday.
Interment - Sunset Memorial Garden, Jamestown,
ND
