Pamela M. Boelke

February 4, 1966 — May 18, 2011

Pamela M. Boelke, 45, New Rockford, North Dakota died Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Rochester Methodist Hospital, Rochester, Minnesota, after fighting a two-year battle with leukemia.

Pamela ""Pam"" Marie Stevens was born February 4, 1966 in Jamestown, ND, the daughter of Vernon and Phyllis (Hansen) Stevens. She attended Jamestown schools graduating from Jamestown High School in 1984. On August 30, 1985 Pam married Timothy Boelke in Cleveland, ND. She attended Valley City State University in Valley City, ND, later transferring to Lake Region State College, Devils Lake, ND, where she received her nursing degree. While obtaining her nursing degree, Pam began working part time at the Log Cabin in New Rockford. She worked at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, New Rockford, later transferring to Ave Maria Village in Jamestown, until her illness forced her to step back from nursing. She was also a volunteer EMT for the New Rockford Ambulance Squad. It was always her hope and dream that she would be able to return to nursing. She loved caring for the residents, spending time with them and gave 110% of herself while pursuing her vocation of nursing.

Pam enjoyed playing cards, reading, crocheting and she made many afghans for family and friends, as well as donating her work.

Pamela is survived by her husband, Timothy, New Rockford; two sons, Matthew Boelke, Devils Lake, ND and Tyler Boelke, New Rockford; one daughter, Nicole Boelke (fiance', Jonathan Ewert), Munich, ND; two sisters, Carol (Larry) Falk and Aimee (Tim) Williamson; one brother, Eric (Patty) Stevens, all of Jamestown; several aunts and uncles and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; a brother in infancy, Charles; and one niece, Jeannie Falk.
