Patrick Folk

Patrick Folk, 89, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 23, 2020 at Eventide, Jamestown.

Patrick Folk was born November 18, 1930, in Jamestown, the son of Frank and Mary Ann (Downey) Folk. He graduated from Jamestown Public School and was united in marriage to Thresse “Dolly” Walsh on September 14, 1949 at St. James Catholic Church. Pat enlisted in the US Army on January 16, 1951 and after an honorable discharge on August 17, 1952, he returned to Jamestown and helped his father as an electrician at Frank’s Electric. Eventually Pat would become owner/operator of Frank’s Electric until his retirement. He was elected to the Stutsman County Commission and was a member of the American Legion, Vet’s Club, Elk’s, and the volunteer Fire Dept. Dolly passed away November 17, 2012.

Pat is survived by his daughters, Sue (Larry) Hopland and Marilyn (Wayne) Muehler; grandchildren, Lisa Hopland, Jason (Tricia) Hopland, Tonah (Sean) Safranski, Brandon (Shanda) Carlascio, and Seannah (Derek) Duchscherer; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Ashton Safranski, Bailey and Kinsley Hopland, Jack and Paige Duchscherer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; children, David Folk and Mary Ann Folk.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND.

Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown.
