Pauline Chaney

November 10, 1912 — June 19, 2003

Pauline Chaney, 90, New Rockford, North Dakota, formerly of Jamestown, died Thursday, June 19, 2003 at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in New Rockford. Pauline Bollinger was born November 10, 1912 in Linton, ND, to Konrad and Rosina (Wohl) Bollinger. She was raised and educated at rural Linton. Pauline ""Polly"" married W.T. ""Bill"" Chaney on October 22, 1932 in Linton. He passed away on April 21, 1987. She lived in Jamestown, most of her life except for two years in Bismarck, where her husband was transferred while working for the railroad. Then they built a house in Edmunds, ND in 1977. Polly moved to Carrington in 1996. In 1999 she lived at the Holy Family Villa and in August of 2002 moved to the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in New Rockford.

She liked baking pies and making quilts.

Polly is survived by a daughter, Donna (Don) Bennett, Carrington, ND, two sons, Bill (Carin) Chaney, Big Lake, MN; Jim Chaney, Emery Vills, CA, twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, two sisters, Esther Flegal, Great Falls, MT; Violet Edmondson, Yakima, WA, and a brother, Leo Bollinger, Jamestown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Isom, two grandsons, seven sisters, (Alma, Emma, Clara, Martha, Edna, Bertha, and Alice), and eight brothers, (Theodore, Edward, Ted, William, Sam, Teddy, Milbert, and Emmanual.)

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Monday, June 23, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND with Rev. Bryce Tahran officiating.

Visitation: 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, June 22, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.
