Pearl M. Yunck, 91, died Thursday, April 3, 2003 at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown, North Dakota.
She was born in the Wimbledon/Courtenay area on May 10, 1911, the daughter of Fred and Anna (Kuhlmann) Dingfelder. Pearl attended and graduated from Wimbledon High School. After graduation she worked at the Equity Store in Jamestown. She married Leo O'Neil and they made their home in Jamestown where she worked for Peterson/Biddick Creamery. She later married Joseph Yunck in 1952 in Webster, South Dakota. They farmed in the Spiritwood Lake area for many years. Joseph passed away in 1979. Pearl moved to Jamestown in 1997 where she continued to live until the Lord called her home.
Pearl enjoyed playing cards, flower gardening and for many, many years was the organist for St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wimbledon, where she was active in many other areas of the church as well.
She is survived by one son, Rick (Pam) Yunck, Jamestown, a son-in-law, Delano Zimmerman, Grand Forks, a daughter-in-law, Minon Bender, Jamestown, ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Pearl was preceded in death by her husbands, a daughter, Leah Rae Zimmerman, two sons, Leo Duane O'Neil and in infancy, Donald O'Neil, her twin brother, Earl and a sister, Florence Leick.
Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Monday, April 7, 2003 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wimbledon, North Dakota with Rev. Robert Leiste officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 9:00 PM, Sunday, April 6, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Burial: Prairie View Cemetery, Wimbledon, North Dakota.
