Emelia ""Peggy"" Ironside Olson, 94, Jamestown, North Dakota died Saturday, October 5, 2002 at her home in Jamestown, North Dakota.

Emelia ""Peggy"" Perman was born April 7, 1908 in Logan County, North Dakota, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Ketterling) Perman. She grew up and attended school in Logan County. She then attended Murphy's Shorthand School for 9 months. She was employed at First National Bank, Wishek, Parshall, and Harvey, all North Dakota. She worked as a teller for Ottertail Power Company in Rugby, North Dakota for several years. She met and married Lawrence Howard Ironside on October 7, 1929 at Jamestown, North Dakota. They later moved to Oakes, North Dakota where her husband was District Manager of Ottertail Power Company. She assisted Lawrence with his photography business after his retirement from Ottertail Power Company. He died on July 11, 1951. She was employed at Wells Drug in Oakes for 2 years before she moved to Jamestown, North Dakota. While in Jamestown, she worked for First National Bank for 20 years, where the last five years did promotionals at the bank. She married Robert K. Olson on January 1, 1979 at Jamestown, North Dakota. He died July 30, 1994.

Peggy was a member of Grace Epsicopal Church and Women of Grace, both Jamestown, North Dakota.

She is survived by her daughter, Judyth Anne Bergan, Minnepolis, MN; Step-sons, Col. Jan B.(Linda) Olson, Arlington, VA; and Steve (Sharon) Olson, Muskego, WI; Kevin (Bonnie) Olson, Bismarck, ND; one step-daughter, Mary Beth (Arvid) Burns, Fargo, North Dakota; one grandson, John Paul (Barbara) Bergan, Apple Valley, MN; one granddaughter, Wendy Elizabeth (Jim Stoss) Howell, Apple Valley, MN; great-granddaughter, Angel Marie Howell, 3 great-grandsons, Kirkland Hauser, Terry Bergan, and Zachery Bergan, and one great-great-granddaughter, Georgia Torgerson. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

Funeral Service: 10:30 am, Wednesday, October 9, 2002 at Grace Episcopal Church, Jamestown, ND with Revs. J. Bartley Davis and Eustis Cowardin officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 9:00 pm, Tuesday, October 8, 2002 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND

Memorials: Jamestown Hospital Home Health and Hospice, Grace Episcopal Church, or donor;s choice.
