Peter Biegler Jr.

Peter Biegler Jr. was born on August 14th, 1941 in Strasburg, ND, the son of Peter and Walburg (Sitter) Biegler. He was the 9th of 16 children raised northwest of Edgeley, ND where he attended a country school and helped on the family farm. He left home and enlisted in the Navy where he was stationed in the Philippines performing small boat engineer duties during his deployment from 1962 to 1964. After the military he moved to Milwaukee, WI where he went on to start his electrical lineman career. There he met Kaaren Morella whom he later married in June of 1966. They had three children, Christina and twins Peter and Lisa, before moving back to West Fargo, ND in 1977. The family moved to a homestead in Mapleton, ND in 1985 where he raised his family and worked at Cass County Electric for 36 years. He eventually made his way back to Edgeley in 2018 to be home near family and friends.

He was a lifelong and devout member of the Catholic Church. He always exemplified the values of faith, honesty, integrity, and toughness throughout his life. He thoroughly enjoyed his hard work as a lineman and helping combine with his family. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting deer, pheasant, and waterfowl. He was also an enthusiastic sports fan, rooting on the Vikings, Sioux, and Bison. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially watching their sporting events.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Christina & David Lien of Flom, MN; son and daughter-in-law Peter & Lisa Biegler of West Fargo, ND; daughter and son-in-law Lisa & Eric Osland of Argusville, ND; grandsons Parker, Broden, and Carter; an unborn grandson; granddaughters Hannah, Sophia, and Liviana; brothers Bud, Jim, and Jerry; and sisters Angie, Alice, Julia, LaVina, MaryAnn, Rose, Bette, and Tillie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Edward, sister Wilma, brother Herman, and sister Geraldine.

A memorial service will be held at Transfiguration Catholic Church in Edgeley, ND on Tuesday October 13th at 11:00 am. At the wishes of the family, the church will be at 50% capacity. Safe distancing and masks will be appreciated throughout the service. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral on Monday October 12th at 5:30 pm followed by a prayer service at 6:30 pm. There will be refreshments following the wake on Monday evening in the church fellowship hall as well as a lite luncheon after the funeral on Tuesday at Hakuna Matata.
