Peter Wipf

Peter Wipf, 65, of the Willowbank Colony near Edgeley, ND died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at his home with his family by his side.

Peter Wipf was born August 8, 1944 at the Rockport Colony, Alexandria, SD, the son of Daniel and Sara (Waldner) Wipf. He was raised and attended school on the Rockport Colony. On June 28, 1964, he married Christina Tschetter. In 1970, they moved to the Fairview Colony near LaMoure, ND and in 1985, moved to the Willowbank Colony near Edgeley, ND. Peter served as farm manager for many years and faithfully served the community with various other jobs and found pleasure in everything he had to do. He was a very patient and loving dad.

Survivors include his wife, Christina; 8 children: Peter (Marlene) Wipf, Willowbank Colony; Marie (Samuel) Hofer, Willowbank Colony; Paul (Rebecca) Wipf, Willowbank Colony; Sara (Mark) Glanzer, Hillside Colony; Joann (Harold) Hofer, Pembrook Colony; Rosanne Wipf, Schenectady, ND; Lorena (Ronald) Waldner, Hillcrest Colony; Ryan Wipf, Holmen WI; 24 grandchildren; 3 brothers: Daniel (Maryann) Wipf, Willowbank Colony; Levi (Becky) Wipf, Willowbank Colony; Clarence (Lillian) Wipf, Lennox, SD and 4 sisters: Sarah (Jonathan), Claremont Colony; Rebecca (Lefty) Tschetter, Claremont Colony; Kathryn (Mike) Kleinsasser, Willowbank Colony; Mary (Ivan), Spring Creek Colony and 3 sisters-in-law: Susie Wipf, Fairview Colony; Anna Wipf, Fairview Colony and Rachel Wipf, Willowbank Colony.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Jacob; 3 brothers, George, Jonathan and Alvin and an infant brother and infant sister.
