Philip Kohlhase, 86, Jamestown, ND died on Sunday, November 5, 2006 at Jamestown Hospital.
Philip Edward Kohlhase was born on May 14, 1920 at Bertha, MN the son of Rudolph and Lillian (Kruetzer) Kohlhase. He graduated from Bertha High School in 1938 and then attended the University of Minnesota, graduating with a Bachelors Of Science Degree in Forestry. Philip entered the U. S. Army in June, 1944 and served as a Flight Officer in Central Europe until his discharge in 1946. After his discharge he returned to the Midwest and worked as a surveyor for many years. Philip retired and settled in Jamestown, ND where he has lived since.
Survivors include 2 sisters, Marie Bush, and Ruth (Leonard) Messer, both Wadena, MN and 2 brothers, Robert, Wadena, MN and David (Kim), Bertha, MN and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 9, 2006 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND.
Visitation: 9:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at Lisko Funeral Chapel.
Interment: 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2006 at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.
