Phyllis Selig, 74, Jamestown, North Dakota died Thursday, February 12, 2004 in her home. Phyllis Anderson was born March 27, 1929 in Lisbon, North Dakota the daughter of Anson J. and Alice (Strickland) Anderson. She grew up in Lisbon and graduated from Lisbon High School. Phyllis worked at the Lisbon Café until marrying Jim Reidburn in August 1946. They moved to Jamestown in 1965. She worked for the Jamestown Sun from 1969 until retiring in 1992. She married Robert Selig in 1971. They continued to make their home in Jamestown.
Phyllis was active in the VFW, Cooties and the local bowling leagues. She enjoyed crafting, playing bingo, sewing and baking.
Phyllis is survived by four sons, James A. (Linda) Reidburn, Phoenix, AZ; Steven (Margaret) Reidburn, Jamestown; Richard (Eileen) Reidburn, Jamestown and Dana (Peggy) Reidburn, Jamestown, 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Richard Anderson, MI and Anson (Verana) Anderson, Hamburg, Germany and her step-mother, Muriel Anderson, Wyndmere, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and one son, Jackie.
Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Terry Anderson officiating.
Visitation: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at Eddy Funeral Home.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
