Phyllis Stevens

Phyllis Stevens, 68, rural Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday, February 3, 2008 at her home. Phyllis Hansen was born March 3, 1938 in Jamestown, North Dakota to Bert and Margaret (Dent) Hansen. She attended school and graduated from Jamestown High School. Phyllis worked at Farmer's Union Insurance and at the North Dakota State Hospital as a receptionist. On March 8, 1957, she married Vernon Stevens. They made their home and raised their family in rural Jamestown. She assisted in her husbands business, Vern's Service from 1964-1980. She worked at several other places until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, embroidery and spending time with her family. Phyllis is survived by three daughters, Carol (Larry) Falk, Jamestown, ND, Pamela (Tim) Boelke, New Rockford, ND, Aimee (Tim) Williamson, Jamestown, ND; one son, Eric (Jiannina ""Patricia"") Stevens, Jamestown, ND; seven grandchildren and one brother, Stanley (Marianne) Hansen, Radcliff, KY. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, Vernon, one son and one granddaughter.

Funeral Services: 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Pastor Rich Fitzer, officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, February 6 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown at a later date.
