Proxie was the daughter of John and Sophie (Paczkowski) Mucha, born January 6, 1917, at Wells, MN. She moved with her family at an early age to Kensal, ND. She attended school in Nogosek Township.
She helped many friends in the area and was employed at the Red Owl Store in Kensal, Jack Woods Meat Market and Courtenay Farmers elevator in Courtenay, ND.

She belonged to the Birthday Club, Young-at-Heart Club, Jolly 17er’s, and volunteered in Jamestown.
Her interests were family, traveling, gardening, playing cards, and reading. As the oldest and only remaining sibling in her family, she naturally assumed position of family matriarch and served in that capacity with her whole heart and soul. None of her family will forget her ability to comfort, advise, and humor us.
Proxie is survived by two sons; Ronald (Andrea Trimble) Dick, Fargo, ND and Ralph (Sandy) Dick, Wimbledon, daughter; Jeanne (John) Jenkins, Boise, ID, and daughter-in-law; Sue (Darold) Schmuhl, Jamestown, ND. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her two youngest sons; Roger and Rodney Dick, her parents; Sophie and John Mucha, both her brothers and their wives; Roderick (Ione) Mucha and Dominic (Marlys) Mucha, and both her sisters and their husbands; Loretta (Gene) Lane and Theresa (Robert) Encke.
