Ralph Raymond Srozinski, 73, Jamestown, North Dakota died Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at his home near Jamestown.
Mr. Srozinski was born January 26, 1933 near Montpelier, ND in Stutsman County, the son of Peter and Rose (Taszarek) Srozinski. He was raised in the Montpelier area and received his education in country schools in Montpelier and Ypsilanti, ND. On July 15, 1954 Ralph married Jeanette Toay in Jamestown. In the early years Ralph worked for a couple of summers for Iverson Construction and in the winters, West End Hide and Fur. He then began a long career at the Jamestown Park and Rec Deparment where he was a foreman. He retired after 40 years of service with them.
Ralph was a member of the Jamestown Eagles, Roaming Buffalo Camping Club and the Basilica of St. James. His interests included bowling, camping, farming, gardening, yard work and he had a particular fondness for birds and thoroughly enjoyed watching them for hours. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Jeanette of Jamestown; two daughters, Barbara (Roy) Gomke and Jean (Dean) Schmuhl, both of Jamestown; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and three brothers, Harold (Marilyn) Srozinski and Gerald (Barb) Srozinski, both of Jamestown and Melvin (Lorraine) Srozinski, Fargo, ND.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Mass: 10:00 AM, Monday, October 9, 2006 at the Basilica of St. James with Father Al Bitz officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 7:00 PM, Sunday, October 8, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.
Vigil: 7:00 PM, Sunday, October 8, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
