Ralph Wilson

Ralph Wilson, 83, Edgeley, ND, died Thursday, February 25, 2010 at the Oakes Community Hospital, Oakes, ND.

Ralph Harold Wilson was born on January 13, 1927 at Edgeley, ND the son of Harold and Edith (Stehr) Wilson. He was raised in Edgeley and attended school in Edgeley. Ralph entered the U. S. Navy in January of 1945. He served on the USS Matagorda and the USS Humboldt. Following his discharge in April of 1946, he returned to Edgeley. Ralph worked for the railroad at Edgeley, was a lineman for the REA and was a manager of the local grain elevator in Edgeley. He later worked for Solinger Lumber Company of Edgeley as assistant manager from 1986 until he retired in 1993. He also worked for many years as a member of the Edgeley Ambulance and as sexton of Mount Hope Cemetery at Edgeley. Ralph married Ruby (Justi) Walker on February 15, 1993 at United Methodist Church in Edgeley.

Survivors include his wife; 2 stepsons, Mark (Judy) Walker, Richmond, MN and Francis ‘Frank' Walker, St. Cloud, MN; and a great-grand niece, Heather (Dwayne) Hickman and their family, Watkins, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ralph was a member of United Methodist Church, Edgeley, ND and the Edgeley VFW Post 7656.
