Ray E. Freadhoff, 95, of Jamestown, North Dakota died Saturday, January 10, 2004 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home, Jamestown.

Ray Emery Freadhoff was born January 29, 1908 in Lee Center, Illinois the son of John and Ella Leora (Emery) Freadhoff. At six weeks old, his family moved to LaMoure, ND, living in Dean Township until 1921, when the family moved to Grand Rapids, ND. He attended grade school in Dean Township in LaMoure County and high school in Grand Rapids, ND. Ray graduated from Nortonville High School on May 28, 1928. He lived and farmed in the Nortonville, ND area. Ray married Marvel May Ereble in the Nortonville Methodist Church on October 29, 1950. They farmed near Nortonville until retiring in 1974. They moved to Jamestown on September 26, 1974.

Ray was a board member of the LaMoure County ASCS for 11 years, the James Valley Rural Electric, Edgeley, ND for 20 years, the Stutsman County Museum, a Community Committeeman, and an honorary board member of the Masonic Temple in Jamestown.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church; Jamestown Masonic Bodies including, Jamestown Lodge No. 6 A.F. & A.M., Adoniram Council, Royal Arch Masons, Jamestown No. 6, Wi Ha Ha Ha Commandery No. 4, Jamestown Shrine Club, and Lady Washington Chapter No. 1 of Eastern Star in Jamestown and El Zagel Temple A.A.O.N.M.S, Fargo, all in 1975.

He is survived by his wife, Marvel Freadhoff of Jamestown; one brother, Charles Leslie Freadhoff of Covina, CA; three nieces, five nephews, and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Karl Byron, John Russell, and George Harry.

Memorial Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 17, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church, Jamestown with Rev. Dick Boyd officiating.
