Ray Heier

Ray Heier, 78, Jamestown, ND died Sunday, July 9, 2006 at Villa Maria Nursing Home, Fargo.

Raymond Heier was born March 8, 1928 in Alfred, ND to John and Pauline (Wagner) Heier. He attended and graduated from Jamestown High School. Ray worked in the gold mines in western South Dakota. He moved back to Jamestown around 1950. Ray married Dorothy Stelter in Moorhead, MN. He worked as a home builder and was employed by Foremost Dairies in Jamestown. Ray then started farming and continued until his retirement. He was a member of the Eagles and Jamestown Country Club. Ray enjoyed golfing, playing pool, bowling and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, Jamestown; one daughter, Linda (Terry) Richardson, Fargo; one son, Steve (Diane) Heier, Fargo; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren; one sister, Delores (Keith) Dennis, Torrington, Wyo.; one brother, Roy (Audrey) Heier, Fargo and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service: 10:30 AM, Wednesday, July 12 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Pastor Eric Libby, officiating.

Visitation: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, July 11 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.
