Raymond A. Gebhardt

Raymond ""Ray"" A. Gebhardt, 80, Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday, March 2, 2008 at his home in Jamestown.

Ray was born June 20, 1927 in Dickey County, North Dakota, the son of Karl E. and Cecilia (Kramlich) Gebhardt. He attended rural Merricourt schools. On June 20, 1950 Ray married Eugena Goehring in Wishek, ND. They moved to Jamestown in 1951 where he went to work at Farmers Union/Cenex for 40 years. He also owned and operated Green Meadow Sprinkler Systems with his son, Kevin, for a short time. Ray worked for the Jamestown Country Club from 1991-2005, mowing the golf course, which he thoroughly enjoyed.

Ray's hobbies included bowling, gardening, golfing and watching sports. He enjoyed spending time with his grandsons and watching their various activities.

Ray is survived by his wife, Eugena, of Jamestown; son, Kevin (Gaylene) Gebhardt, Jamestown; daughter, Cindy (Leland) Eslinger, Hannaford, ND; two grandsons, Adam and Joey Gebhardt; one sister, Esther Huber, Oakes, ND and one brother, Kenneth Gebhardt, Brooklyn Center, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Marvin, and one sister, Irene Werre.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 6, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel with Pastors Bryce Tahran and Clayton Schaeffer officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.

Spring Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota
