Raymond M. Nordtvedt

Raymond M. Nordtvedt, 78, Jamestown, North Dakota died Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at MedCenter One in Bismarck, ND.

Ray was born December 29, 1926 in Jamestown, the son of Robert and Minnie (Brunswick) Nordtvedt. He grew up in Jamestown and graduated from Jamestown High School. Ray served in the U.S. Army from June 1945 to November 1946. Upon his return to North Dakota he attended Jamestown College. He worked for Foremost Dairy delivering milk in the Jamestown area. Ray married Caroline Simmons in Jamestown. In 1965 Ray began his employment with the U.S. Postal Service in Jamestown as a postal clerk, from which he retired.

Ray was a member of the Jamestown Eagles, NARF and Trinity Lutheran Church where he was an active usher.

He enjoyed walking with his friends, bowling and drinking coffee.

Ray is survived by his wife, Caroline, son, Robert, daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Les Kendall and one granddaughter, Arin, all of Jamestown.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Friday, September 30, 2005 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Bortnem officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 29, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota
