Raymond Wojick, 79, Burbank, WA, died Friday, November 6, 2009 at Avalon Health Care, Pasco, WA.
Raymond Wojick was born October 14, 1930 in Jamestown, ND, the son of Louis J. and Gertrude (Reck) Wojick.
Raymond served in the United States Army from September 12, 1951 to January 21, 1953 and then with the United States Army Reserve from January 1953 through February of 1957. On February 14, 1969, he married Irene Young and they lived in the Washington Tri-Cities (Kennewick, WA; Richland, WA; Pasco, WA) area. He worked as a Communications Crew Foreman with Burlington Northern Railroad. Irene died on November 3, 1984. Raymond retired from the railroad on November 1, 1990. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include 2 sisters: Laverne Heine, LaMesa, CA; Phyllis Mitzel, Cheney, WA; a sister-in-law, Kate (Wojick) Spanjer, Jamestown, ND; 14 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Irene; brothers; Lester, Louis, Harold and L. Thomas and a sister, Mildred Flohr.
Interment - 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2009 at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fried, ND.
