Rebbecca Bertsch, 72, Jamestown, North Dakota died Friday, September 7, 2007 at Central Dakota Village in Jamestown.

Rebbecca Loretta Martin was born April 10, 1935, near Lake Williams in Kidder County, North Dakota, the daughter of Federick and Carolina (Veil) Martin. She grew up on the family farm and attended a rural school in Kidder County. She was baptized and confirmed in the Petersville Lutheran Church, north of Pettibone, North Dakota. She helped on the family farm until she married Roger Bertsch of Robinson, ND at the Petersville Lutheran Church on September 22, 1957. They lived northeast of Robinson until 1959 when they moved to Jamestown, ND. She worked at the Jamestown Livestock Sales Café for several years and for many years at the Pantry Café in Jamestown. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Jamestown.

Rebbecca is survived by three sons and three daughters, Dean (Terri) Bertsch, Jamestown, Katherine (Steve) Aldinger, Spiritwood Lake, ND, Marlyn (Traci) Bertsch, Jamestown, Lila (Nathan Jacobson) Bertsch, Campbell, MN, Brenda (Kevin) Ebel, Jamestown and Brian (Holly) Bertsch, Montpelier, ND; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; one brother, Edward (JoAnn) Martin, Robinson, ND; three sisters, Alvina (Aesoph) Schulz, Anna (Clarence) Woodward, and Louise (Peter) Roerick, all of Jamestown; a sister-in-law, Gladys Martin, Lincoln, ND and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Leonard; her twin sister and brother-in-law, Loretta and Dan Hoff; a sister in infancy, Esther; a brother in infancy, Jacob; one grandchild and an infant great-granddaughter.

Funeral Service: 1:30 PM, Monday, September 10, 2007 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Pastor Tom Eckstein officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 5:00 PM, Sunday, September 9, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Prayer Service: 6:00 PM, Sunday, September 9, 2007 at Concordia Lutheran Church.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
