Rebecca "Becky" Pederson, 49, Jamestown, ND died Saturday, March 22, 2014 in Jamestown.
Becky was born January 1, 1965 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Clark and Delaura (Leine) Gripentrog. She received her education in Wahpeton, ND and graduated from Wahpeton High School in 1983. She attended Jamestown College where she received her nursing degree. On November 9, 1984 Becky married Matt Pederson in Wahpeton. She worked as a nurse in Minnesota, North Dakota and Kentucky. She was currently employed by the City of Fargo for Fargo Public Schools.
Becky enjoyed watching her son's games throughout their high school and college careers, as well as her nieces and nephews. She participated in volleyball, basketball, track and fast pitch softball. She later coached volleyball for many years and at all levels. She was head volleyball coach at Fargo North High School. She was an avid pinochle player and an animal lover. She was close to all her family. She was very outgoing and loved meeting new people and making new friends.
Becky is survived by her husband, Matt, Jamestown; two sons, Nate (Rebecca) Pederson, Minnetonka, MN and Nick Pederson, Jamestown; two grandchildren, Jackson and Cooper; parents, Clark and Delaura Gripentrog, Wahpeton; three brothers, Stewart (Joyce) Gripentrog, Wahpeton, Brad (Roxi) Gripentrog, Shakopee, MN and Wayne (Ronda) Gripentrog, Wahpeton; one sister, Renee (Linus) Zach, Rosholt, SD; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mort and JoAnne Pederson.
